Magical Engagement Ring

This is a limited collection of magical one of a kind engagement and wedding rings that I have designed using the basket setting jewellery technique. Lots of work and patience have gone into learning this technique with the result of this beautiful sexy smokey quartz ring. 

I used brass wire to design the ring base before I carefully set the 8mm round gemstone into the basket. After lots of cleaning and polishing I had the ring generously overlayed with 18k gold by a reputable gold plater at the Goldsmith Centre near Hatton Gardon, in London's oldest diamond district. 

This brown coloured gem is quite magical as it changes colours in the light. It was sourced from a reputable gem dealer in London's famous diamond district in Hatton Garden.
