Travel Memories before Covid-19 - I

Cambodia - Angkor Wat

I received some Cambodian gems from a fellow traveler in Siem Reap in March 2020 and decided to copper electroform this one onto a solid and pure Sterling Silver band.

During the lenghty electroforming process of about 24 hours some copper has formed magically along parts of the silver band which gives the ring an unique artistic look.

- December Birthstone Ring -

In  the  Middle  Ages,  Zircon  was  believed  to  induce sleep, and encourage honour and wisdom.  It was said to bring prosperity to its owner and  thought to drive away plagues and evil spirits.  It was also believed to increase ingenuity, glory  and wealth and would prevent travel-sickness.  During the Black Death it was also worn as a  protective talisman.

Dimensions: approx. 9 mm x 8 mm x 7 mm

Ring Size: J/K (UK) or 4.75/5.25 (US)

The piece comes beautifully packaged in a gift box.

Please note that copper and sterling silver oxidises over time. This is a natural process.

A jewellery polishing cloth used regularly will help shine up your piece again.

Applying a thin coat of nail varnish onto the copper might prevent oxidation in difficult to reach areas.

As with any other jewellery, it is recommended to not wear it while bathing/showering, sleeping and exercising.
